Discovery Day

Discovers Day is often controversial, as it is seen by some as a celebration of colonialism and the mistreatment of indigenous peoples. There has been a growing movement to rename it to Indigenous Peoples' Day, to honor/celebrate the cultures and contributions of Native Americans.
